La Grange - Sleeps 10

Les Ecuries (the stables) offers five bedrooms, two double, a twin and two singles and can, therefore, accommodate up to eight. There is a shower room upstaitrs anda large bathroom downstairs with a shower over the bath.


Largest of the Gites La Grange (the barn) also has five bedrooms, two of them double and the rest twins. There is a large downstairs bathroom and upstairs shower room. Two of the bedrooms share acccess to a small balcony.

The open plan ground floor has a well equipped kitchen with a large gas cooker (five- burner hob), washing machine and dishwasher. Stairs lead from the living and dining areas to the five double bedrooms, three of which have pairs of twin beds. The downstairs bathroom (with over bath shower) is supplemented by a large upstairs shower room.

Outside there is a patio area that looks out over the large grassy play area, towards the pool complex. There is a masonry barbecue and patio furniture for al fresco dining.

All guests at the Gites have access to the large grassy playing area at the rear and to the pool complex, comprising a 12x6m main pool, a small paddling area and a 3m square children's pool.

Each Gite has its own patio area and is equipped with a masonry barbecue.

Internet access is available via wifi and Satellite broadband. Data consumption during the day is limited but there is ample to support internet browsing, email and Voice over IP. Unlimited data downloads are available between midinght and 6 am. Each Gite has a TV with Freesat to provide access to UK TV stations.



There is a 9 hole golf course about 10 minutes away at Golf d'Aubeterre, where there are also tennis courts. Fishing is possible in both the nearby river Dronne and, further afield, in the Charente.


Bathing beaches are provided on the river at Aubeterre and St Aulaye. Lake bathing is available a little farther afield at Brossac and Lac Jemaye, just beyond Riberac.

Outdoor Pursuits

The area provides excellent quiet country roads for cyclists and there are ample opportunities for walking in the local woods and countryside.
